Chikmagalur: An FIR has been filed against 17 people at Sringeri police station on the charges of constantly raping and molesting a 15-year old girl.
The accused are identified as, Kikre small Abhi and his friends, Girish Anegunda, Vikas Holikoppa, Manikantha Holikoppa, Ashwath Gowda Sringeri, Rajesh Anegunda, Santosh Kurubahere, Dikshith Heggade, Santhosh Heroor, Niranjan Kigga, Nayan Gowda Sringeri, Abhi Gowda Sringeri, Yogeesh Kahndya. Reports speculate the involvement of victim’s step mother.
The complaint has been filed by the Chairman of the Child welfare committee Subramanya.
The complaint stated that a 15-year old girl from Gochavalli village in Sringeri taluk was raped and harassed.
