Chitradurga: In an early morning operation on Thursday, July 11, Lokayukta officials conducted raids on the residences of two senior officials. The officials targeted were BBMP Superintendent Engineer Jagadish and retired PWD Superintendent Engineer Ravindrappa.

BBMP Superintendent Engineer Jagadish, who was recently transferred from BBMP to Bhadra Command Area Development Authority, had his residence in Chitradurga and four other locations in Davanagere raided by Lokayukta officials.

Retired PWD Superintendent Engineer Ravindrappa’s properties, including his farmhouse in Suguru, Hiriyur Taluk, an apartment in Bengaluru, a house in Vinayaka layout, Chitradurga, and a bottling factory near Aimangala, were also searched by Lokayukta officials this morning.

The raids, led by Lokayukta SP Vasudevaram, were conducted to investigate allegations of disproportionate assets. The Lokayukta team is currently reviewing documents to verify the legitimacy of the assets acquired by the officials.
