Chitradurga: Serial collision of bus, cars and canter leaves 2 dead

Chitradurga: A serial vehicle collision occurred the morning of Saturday, November 14 between a bus, 2 car and a canter truck that left two people dead on the spot in the district here.

The accident occurred near Greenland Hotel on National Highway 04 near Patrehalli in Hiriyur taluk of the district.

The serial collision was of a private bus, a Tata Indica car, a Maruti Omni, a canter truck and a Tata Ace pick up.

Lata (28) from Haveri in the Omni and Shashikumar (26), driver of the Tata Ace died on the collision spot.

Shruti (03), Jyothi (25), Jagruti (04) and Dyamanna (24) were seriously injured and are being treated at a hospital.

It was reported that the cause of the accident was the negligence of the private bus driver.

A case has been registered at the Hiriyur Rural Police Station.
