Chitradurga: Two dead, three injured in car crash at Challakere Taluk

Chitradurga: A car crashed into a divider after the driver lost control due to drowsiness at  Thalaku village in Challakere taluk here. Two passengers died on the spot, and three others were seriously injured.

The deceased have been identified as Gopinath (52) and Lalithamma (47) from Ballari.

The accident occurred while they were returning to Ballari after attending an upanayana ceremony in Bengaluru. The driver fell asleep, causing the car to crash into the divider.

Three others — identified as Shreya, Srinivas, and the driver Suresh — were seriously injured and were admitted to Challakere Public Hospital.

Thalaku PSI Lokesh visited the scene and conducted an inspection.
