Chitradurga: Woman severely injured in leopard attack

Chitradurga: An incident of leopard attack was reported from Kurubarahalli in Hiriyur taluk here on Tuesday.

The woman, identified as Manjibai (45), was sleeping in the front yard of her house when the leopard attacked early in the morning.

Manjibai’s daughter-in-law saw the leopard and screamed which scared the leopard and it ran.

Locals who heard the scream ran to the house and threw stones at the escaping leopard.

Manjibai was admitted to the taluk hospital where she is undergoing treatment for severe injuries she sustained.
