Chitradurga: Police arrested a 20-year-old man on charge of mudering his mother as she refused to prepare Sambhar.

The arrested, identified as Lokesh, a resident of Molakalmuru in the district was arrested form a bar where he was consuming liquor.

As per reports, Lokesh and his (now deceased) mother Ratnamma (45) worked as coolies. The mother-son duo often had verbal arguments over minor issues. On Thursday night, Lokesh was angered over Ratnamma’s refusal to cook sambar for dinner and slapped her hard twice and stomped out of the house.

When he returned home later that night his mother was still lying in the courtyard so he carried her inside the house and went to sleep. The next day morning he realised that his mother was dead and intimated the same to his grandmother.
