Udupi/Kota: Cine actor Prakash Raj awarded with ‘Karantha Huttura Prashasti’ amid protests in an event held at Kota Karanth Bhavana here on Tuesday. Members of HJV wore black shirts while many others hold silent procession in Kota to express their dissatisfaction on the award ceremony.

Meanwhile, many workers, leaders including Karnataka Jogi Samaja Seva Samithi president Keshava Koteshwara, Jai Bhargava Organisation convener Ajith Shetty Kirady, BJP leaders Yashpal Suvarna, Naveen Shetty Kuthyaru and others were taken into custody by the police as they tried to hold their protest near venue of the award ceremony.
