New Delhi: The government is likely to permit functioning of cinemas and gyms in the third phase of the Unlock, , sources said on Sunday. The restrictions which are in force presently under Unlock 2 will end on July 31.
Sources said that schools will not be re-opened as parents are not in not in favour of reopening of schools. Metro train services are also likely to remain shut across the country.
Relaxations will likely be offered to cinema halls and gyms from August 1 but they will have to adhere to the SOPs formulated by the Centre.
After consulting cinema owners, The IB ministry has suggested that theatres can be reopened with 25 per cent seating initially and following all the social distancing protocols.
Respective state governments will be given authority to frame their own guidelines as per their Covid-19 situation.
