Belagavi/Hubli: Circles and squares were drawn in front of grocery shops and medical stores in Hubli and Belagavi to maintain social distancing to curb coronavirus spread.
The idea is proving a healthy option for people who come out of their homes to purchase groceries, medicines, and vegetables. People are also following the guidelines by standing within the circle/square, maintaining the required distance.
Meanwhile, Belagavi City Corporation officials have also started pushing the concept across the district by sharing photos of such social distancing practices.
The idea was inspired by photos outside a mall in China where the management drew circles on the floor to maintain social distancing.
India’s government on Tuesday ordered the country’s more than 1.3 billion citizens to remain under lockdown for three weeks in order to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
