City council officials stop working after member assaults health officer

Udupi: Officials of Udupi City Municipal Council have stopped working after a member of Udupi City Municipal Council, allegedly assaulted a duty health officer on Tuesday.
Yogish Vadambandeshwara, a member of Udupi City Municipal Council, allegedly assaulted Prasanna, a health inspector of Udupi CMC after he got into an argument with the Prasanna about some unsolved issues, informed sources.
Following the attack Prassanna was immediatly admitted to Udupi government hospital and is currently undergoing treatment there.
