Civic workers assaulted in C’mgluru

Chikkamagaluru: In yet another incident of assault on essential staff in Karnataka, few persons assulated civic workers in Chikkamagaluru district here on April 21.

The incident place near the Uppally Mosque when the civic workers were collecting garbage. A song creating awareness on coronavirus was being played in the garbage collection van,

One of the civic worker named Manjunath sustained injury and was admitted to a district hospital.

The gang allegedly tore the clothes of another civic worker and threatened a female ASHA worker with dire consequences before escaping from the spot.

A case is registered at Basavanahalli Police Station and a search is on for the accused
