Bengaluru: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President DK Shivakumar on Wednesday, urged the state government to help the consumers in clearing the confusion over BESCOM and other ESCOM bills.

Taking to Twitter Shivakumar wrote, “Urban middle-class residents are enraged by BESCOM and other ESCOM bills which are like salt on the wound in times like these.”

He further added, “I urge the government to immediately come to the aid of consumers and take action to clear the confusion and correct the bills.”

It may be recalled that a resident of Bengaluru had got a bill of Rs 16,267 for two months (March and April) for a house that had remained unoccupied. The bill for January and February had been less than Rs 600.
