Bengaluru: Congress leader Varaprasad Reddy joined BJP at its Malleshwaram office in Bengaluru on Sunday in the presence of BJP Karnataka Unit president BS Yeddyurappa and others. Varaprasad Reddy is a close associate of Congress leader, Karnataka State Energy Minister DK Shivakumar.
Earlier, Varaprasad Reddy contested from Uttarahalli ward in the last BBMP elections and was defeated by his rival. Income tax department had also raided the residence of Reddy in 2015 and found Rs 1.15 crore cash.
