CLP leaders to meet on Sunday, ahead of trust vote

Bengaluru: Ahead of the floor test of Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy’s government on July 22, the state Congress has called a Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leaders meet on Sunday at the Taj Hotel.

On Saturday also a meeting of Karnataka Congress MLAs with Congress Legislative Party (CLP) leader Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister G Parameshwara took place at Taj Vivanta hotel here.

It may be recalled that on Friday before adjourning the house towards the fag end of the day, the Speaker made it clear that a finality would be put to the motion of confidence moved by Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Monday and the matter would not be prolonged further under any circumstances, to which the government agreed.
