CM agrees to increase diesel subsidy for country boats

A delegation of fishermen from Malpe meets CM

Udupi/Bengaluru: A delegation of fishermen from Malpe met with the Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa at the CM’s home office ‘Krishna’ and held discussions on Wednesday, August 21st. On this occasion the delegation brought to the notice of the CM, the various serious problems being faced by them.

The CM has agreed to increase the subsidy on diesel from 300 liters to 400 liters and has also agreed to send a recommendation letter to the centre regarding the disbursal of compensation to the families of the fishermen who went missing aboard the deep sea trawler Suvarna Tribhuja, informed minister Kota Srinivas Poojary to the media after the meeting.

MLC Poojary, Udupi MLA Raghupati Bhat, Basavaraj Patil Yatnal, Kapu MLA Lalaji R Mendon and the CM’s secretary Shivayogi C participated in the meeting with the CM.
