Mangaluru: A decision on the cabinet expansion will be taken by Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and the party’s central leadership, said Deputy Chief Minister Ashwath Narayan here.

He also said that everyone desires to be a minister and it is not wrong to have such expectations.

Also speaking at the occasion, State BJP’s president Nalin Kumar Kateel said that it is the chief minister’s duty to appoint ministers. There is nothing wrong in openly aspiring for a cabinet position. Politicians should be ambitious. There is no antagonism between our party’s MLAs on this issue. It is upto the chief minister and the central leadership now.

Kateel further added that no discussion ever happened on changing the chief minister. I have been giving this clarification from the past 4 months.
