CM arrives at MIA, proceeds to Udupi

Mangaluru: Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy was accorded a warm welcome at the Mangaluru International airport on Friday, September 7.
The Chief Minister is on a day-long official visit to conduct a progress review of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district, this being his first visit to the two districts after being elected as the chief minister.
He was accorded a guard of honour by the Police Department at the airport. Mayor Bhasker Moily, MLC Ivan D’Souza, JD(S) leaders M B Sadashiva, B M Farooq and others were present at the airport.
Kumaraswamy refused to take questions from the media and proceeded straight towards Udupi where he is expected to hold a meeting with district officials. A similar meeting is scheduled with Mangaluru district officials at 3 pm later today.
The CM is expected to depart from Mangaluru airport at 9.55 pm.
