Bengaluru: With the Assembly election vote counting just a day away, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai expressed unwavering confidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would secure a resounding majority, eliminating the need for any alliance talks with other political parties.

Bommai held a meeting with former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and senior BJP leaders, including ministers Murugesh Nirani, Byrathi Basavaraj, party MP Lehar Singh Siroya, and A T Ramaswamy at Yediyurappa’s residence earlier today.

Asserting his position, Bommai stated, “My stand remains consistent that we will achieve an absolute majority. We have received ground reports from all constituencies and districts. In some districts, we have collected booth-wise data, and based on our analysis, we are fully confident that we will surpass the required magic number.”

When questioned about the Congress party reserving resorts to keep their MLAs united, Bommai quipped that this indicates their inability to secure an absolute majority. They are resorting to such measures and engaging with other parties because they lack faith in their own MLAs, he added.Important meeting of CM and BJP leaders at Yeddyurappa residence
