Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai held a meeting with the DCs of 5 districts over Covid-19 situation in the state.
Speaking to the reporters Bommai said, “A meeting was held with the DCs of Dakshina Kannada, Hassan, Udupi, Chamarajanagar and Kodagu districts. As these are border districts, I have directed them to ramp up testing and vaccinations for better management of Covid-19. ”
“Cases in Chamarajanagar and Hassan have reduced. However, strict measures must be taken in few places in the Udupi district. The vaccination drive has been intensified in Mangaluru and Udupi. Also, for the past 30 days, cases in Kasargod have reduced drastically,” he added.
