Bengaluru: Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai has said that he will conduct a survey in Bengaluru on Monday as many places witnessed damages due to rains over the last week.
“I will visit these places and take a decision on the work to be carried out and compensation,” he added. Earlier, families were evacuated from police quarters after cracks developed in the building following rains.
Also, CM said that he will be looking at complaints of potholes emerging in many parts of the city.
The bad quality of roads in the city has forced people to “worship” and “appease” a new deity ‘Pothole Amma’ to spare the commuters’ lives.
On Sunday, activists of a little-known local political party Karnataka Rashtra Samiti offered special prayers and puja to the deity on potholes in all eight BBMP zones asking for safety on the roads.
