CM BSY completes Delhi tour; calls Cabinet meet next week

Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has called a Cabinet meeting on Thursday, July 22 arousing curiosity in State’s political circles as it will be the first Cabinet meeting to be held after his Delhi visit.

During his Delhi tour, the chief minister met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajanath Singh and BJP national president JP Nadda.

Yediyurappa clarified in Delhi that there is no question of him resigning as chief minister.

“On meeting each party leader, I talked about the party organization. Amit Shah said that there are good prospects for the party in Karnataka and told me to continue my work as they fully support it,” he said.

Yediyurappa has reportedly boarded the flight back to Bengaluru and will be arriving soon.
