Mysuru: Chief Minister Kumaraswamy escaped unhurt after a fire broke out in the SUV in which he was travelling at Peehalli village, Srirangapatna on Wednesday night.
It is gathered that Kumaraswamy was on his way to a private hotel when security personnel saw smoke billowing out of the car’s engine.
The chief ministers and others in the car were immediately evacuated and the fire doused off.
Police suspect that the fire may have been caused due to an engine oil leak.
