CM inaugurates Bengaluru Tech Summit

Bengaluru: Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy on Thursday inaugurated the 21st edition of Karnataka State’s flagship Information Technology and Biotechnology event, ‘Bengaluru Tech Summit’.

Addressing the press persons after inaugurating the three-day event Kumaraswamy said that this tech summit is a unique platform provided by the Karnataka government for deliberating on innovation and its impact on the industry.

When it comes to Foreign Direct Investment and employability Karnataka stands first. The IT, BT and related sectors in Bengaluru alone have provided employment to over 3 million,  he informed.

He further said that as per a study conducted by Consultancy firm Zinno the number of Engineering and R and D Centres of Multi-national companies in India increased from 943 in 2016 to 976 in 2017.
