Bengaluru: A portfolio like education falls in the hands of a Class 8 passout and Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy discovers nothing wrong with it.
“What have I considered? I’m functioning as the Chief Minister” – this was Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy reaction on the inquiry on designating Higher Education portfolio to a minister who has studied till class 8. JD(S) minister GT Devegowda has been given higher education portfolio and B.Sc degree holder CM has justified the same.
GT Devegowda had hoarded deadlines for trouncing none other than former chief minister Siddaramaiah in his home turf Chamundeshwari on May 12 assembly election and was from that point forward looking at key portfolio. In any case, it is said that GT Devegowda was unhappy with the allotment as he needed other portfolio.
“Should I give away Finance?”….there will be demand for specific ministers yet certain choices are made inside in the party,” the CM told journalists here, including that such wishes of turning into a minister first and after that needing certain specific portfolios are normal.
Kumaraswamy held the key Finance office, as likewise Energy with him while offering Home to his deputy G Parameshwara of the Congress.
