Udupi: The foundation stone for much-demanded Hejmady Kodi harbour project was laid by chief minister B S Yediyurappa on Tuesday, January 19

The harbour will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs.180.84 crore, including the Central government’s share of Rs 69.30 crore. A sum of Rs 13.86 crore has already been released by the Centre.

It may be recalled that Yediyurappa had announced the project during his budget speech for the year 2020-21.

On the occasion, the CM also handed over cheques to the beneficiaries of Matsashraya and Bhagyalakshmi schemes.
