CM Siddaramaiah to address building construction sector issues amid union strike

In response to the ongoing indefinite strike by the union of building material transport lorry and tempo owners, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has scheduled a crucial meeting with district MLAs, Legislative Council members, and district-level officials. The meeting, aimed at addressing the challenges faced by the building construction sector in the district, is slated for Thursday.

The gathering will bring together prominent district leaders, including the district in-charge minister, five MLAs representing the district, two members of the Vidhan Parishad, the district collector, the district panchayat CEO, and the district superintendent of police. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 5 pm on October 5.

The primary focus of this high-level meeting will be to deliberate on the issues surrounding the availability of essential building materials such as sand and red stone, which have been adversely impacted by the strike.

Representatives from the Union of Lorry Owners Associations have conveyed their intention to determine their next course of action based on the decisions made during this significant gathering and the directives provided by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
