Bengaluru: Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa launched the cargo service of the government-owned Karnataka State Raod Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Friday.

Branded ‘Namma Cargo,’ the service will be run by all the other road transport corporations in the State – North West Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) and the North East Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NEKRTC).

Transport Minister Laxman Savadi said that the new cargo and parcel service will raise the revenue of the corporations.

The service will be operated by Strategic Outsourcing Private Limited.

The company will set up counters at bus stations for booking cargo and will be managing the delivery, pick up and racking of the cargo.
