Chitradurga: Union minister DV Sadananda Gowda said that the chief minister’s decision is final in the composition of his Cabinet.
Speaking to reporters here, he said that just as the captain of a cricket team appoints players to bowl, bat, field and wicketkeeping, similarly, the chief minister of the state forms a Cabinet.
Replying to a query on whether preference should be given to those who defected to the BJP in giving ministerial posts, he said that some people joined our party and help us come to power, however, this has been a problem for many of our party members.
Commenting on Basavanagouda Patil Yatnal, he said that Yatnal’s statement is similar to the festivals in the year, they occur every year, so there is no need to answer them.
On BJP-JD(S) alliance and merger talks, he said that it is not known whether there will be an alliance, however, anybody who agrees to the party’s ideology will be allowed to join the party. Till date, there has been no discussion on any merger proposal.
