Coach booked under POCSO Act for sexually harassing minor athlete

Chikmagalur: A Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act case has been filed against an athletic coach of the Department of Youth Empowerment & Sports for assaulting a minor student.

The accused is Bharath S, he is currently absconding

The incident took place on a bus recently when Bharat and the victim were returning to Chikmagalur after finishing a competition in Patna.

Reportedly, Bharath touched the minor girl’s private parts on the bus and threatened her not to tell anyone about this. However, the girl informed her mother about the incident who later filed a complaint with SP Uma Prasant.
