Coastalwood: No movies in Jan?

Team Udayavani, Jan 19, 2019, 7:54 AM IST

Mangaluru: Last year, 15 movies were released in a period of 12 months, but not a single movie was released in the month of January. There is no known reason why this happened. What is interesting is that the same situation seems to persist on the very same month this year too.

According to the currently available information, there are no signs depicting the possible release of a movie in the month of January 2019 as well. Even though 4-5 movies have completed all preparations and are waiting to release, they are actually waiting with the thought ‘Let January pass by’.

Meanwhile ‘Katapady Kattappa’ will see release on the last week of March while ‘Deyibeideti’ and ‘Kamblabettu Bhatterna Magal’ are planning to get released next month. The release of two movies within a gap of a week similar to last year is not being considered as a good sign for Coastalwood industry.
