Coconut shells selling for Rs 1400 on Amazon; Indians in disbelief

Did you imagine that coconut shells could fetch you upto Rs 3000 if sold online? Thats right, the shells which you probably threw in thrash or used to light a fire are selling at Rs 1,365 i.e after a discount of Rs 1,635 on Amazon.
Branded as “Natural Coconut Shell Cup” buyers have also been given the option of buying the ‘organic’ semi-circular bowl with an EMI option.
That’s not all, the product comes with a warning that because it’s natural it might have cracks and dents. “This is an actual, real, coconut. Therefore, it may have cracks, dents and imperfections,” seller Century Novelty wrote on the e-commerce site.
Funnily coconuts are available for as little as Rs 40 in India, so seeing a shell sell for Rs 3000 on the e-commerce site naturally left them dumbfounded.
Taking to Twitter a user who obviously couldn’t decide whether to laugh or cry said: If at all I knew this earlier, I would have been a millionaire by now.
Another Twitterati wrote: “I don’t know How much of money I burned to cook.!#funtime#shell #Coconutshell #burn.”
