Mangaluru: The Dakshina Kannada district administration has directed all private medical practitioners to collect foreign travel details of patients visiting them and send it to authorities if anyone is found to have visited a country in the WHO’s list of countries affected by COVID-19.
Teams too have been set at every primary health centre (PHC) to identify residents arriving from abroad and screen them.
Deputy commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh has also advised people suffering fever, cough and cold to avoid visiting mass gatherings until they are completely cured.
More than 600 passengers were screened at the Mangaluru International Airport (MIA) on Thursday, March 13.
