Complaint lodged against three for communally provocative speeches

Puttur: The town police station has received a complaint accusing three persons of delivering speeches which were allegedly communally provocative in nature. Apparently, the incident is said to have happened at the Mosaru Kudike Utsav public programme organized under the aegis of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and Mosaru Kudige Utsava Samiti in Lord Mahalingeshwara temple premises here on August 31 this year.
The accused in the complaint are Karnataka south provincial joint convener of Bajrang Dal, Raghu Sakleshpur, Mosaru Kudike Utsava Samiti president, Kadamajalu Subhas Rai, and Vishwa Hindu Parishad unit president, Janardhan Betta.

It is learnt that Raghu Sakleshpur was the main speaker of the event and had allegedly said that Muslims will not get even a small piece of land in the country to offer namaz if they fail to utter slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Jai Shriram.
Complaint
In his complaint to the police dated Sep 5th, Sirajuddin, city committee member of Popular Front of India accuses Kadamajalu Subhas Rai and Janardhan Betta of supporting Raghu’s address.
Case registered
The case was registered on Sep 17, informed the cops and added that they will get advice from legal advisers whether the speeches had anything which would have disturbed law and order situation and communal harmony in the society, by referring the videos concerning the accused.
