Cong high command didn’t want Kharge to be K’taka CM: HDD

Kalaburagi: Former Prime Minister and JDS Supremo HD Deve Gowda on Monday said that the Congress high command didn’t want Veteran leader Mallikarjuna Kharge to be the Chief Minister of Karnataka.

Addressing pressperson here he said, “I had suggested Mallikarjuna Kharge’s name for the post of the Chief Minister when we had formed Coalition government in the state, but the Congress high command said that they wanted JDS leader HD Kumaraswamy to be the CM.”

“No one from Congress party had any objections when I suggest Mallikarjuna Kharge’s name,” he added.

It mabe recalled that Kumarswamy had recently said became CM due to blessing from the Congress high command.

“I am not a parrot domesticated by Siddaramaiah. There are several like him who prospered under HD Deve Gowda. I became CM due to blessing from the Congress high command,” tweeted Kumaraswamy.
