Cong-JD(S) to hold workers meet in Tumkur

Tumkur: Janata Dal(Secular) (JDS) and Congress leaders will be holding a joint meeting of their workers across the parliamentary constituency from April 1.

JD(S) leader Ramesh addressing presspersons after attending a meeting here on Wednesday said that they have decided to conduct a meeting of Congress and JDS workers in eight assembly segments from April 1.

He further added that a joint coordination committee has been formed to take care of the elections.

The committee includes Deputy Chief Minister Parameshwara, Cabinet Minister Srinivas, former minister D Nagarajaiah, former MLAs Shafi Ahamed and Shadakshari, he informed.

Deputy Chief Minister Dr G Paarmeshwar and state Cabinet Minister SR Srinivas also attend the meeting.
