Chickmagaluru: According to the JD(S) state president HD Kumaraswamy, the cases of communal violence in the coastal region of Karnataka is a planned conspiracy by the BJP and Congress in order to divide the voters for the upcoming Assembly elections.
On Friday, HDK stated that the murders of activists from different religions are taken into advantage by the BJP and Congress to gain voters and thus giving opportunity to more such crimes. In the recent incident, the family members of Deepak Rao of Mangaluru and Paresh Mesta of Honnavar have denied that their children had an association with BJP or Congress, but the parties have claimed them to be their workers.
He told the reporters that in spite of offensive speeches by members of the BJP and Congress, no cases have been filed against them. He also added that it is very important to secure peace in the state but it is now negotiated for political purposes.
