Congress Chief Whip P M Ashok casts vote despite father’s demise

Bengaluru: Despite his father’s demise Congress Chief Whip P M Ashok casted vote in the Rajya Sabha elections on Friday. Ashok’s father passed away in Ramadurg in Belagavi in the wee hours of Friday.
The MLA remained back and was one of the first legislator caste his vote after the polling station opened at 9 am.
He later took the 10.45 am flight to Belagavi to attend the last rituals of his father in Ramdurg.
