Bengaluru: A day after BJP’s B S Yeddyurappa surrendered as the Chief Minister just 55 hours after taking vow, the Congress on Sunday May 20 asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to test all BJP leaders who professedly attempted to reward the Congress and JD(S) MLAs in the wake of the floor test in Karnataka assembly.
Tending to a press meet on May 20, Congress representative Jaiveer Shergill, stated, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi should demonstrate to country his sense of duty regarding battle against corruption. (He should) dispatch a probe against the individuals who called Congress and JD(S) MLAs, and offered bribe to break the rock-solid coalition.
“We trust Prime Minister orders probe into corruption which their MLAs were enjoying,” he included.
He likewise said that Yeddyurappa’s choice to leave even before the floor-test indicated exactly why ‘truth matters above everything else’. “Did you see that after the whole exercise in Karnataka Vidhan Sabha, the BJP officials and speaker went out before the national anthem? It demonstrates they can disregard any organization if in power,” he said.
