Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, visited Gadag on Saturday to discuss election preparations with the BJP candidate for the Gadag constituency, Aneela Minsinkai, and local leaders.
Prior to this, he had held discussions with BJP leaders in Mundaragi of Shirahatti constituency after finishing a campaign in Vijayanagar district.
During the meeting, Bommai stated that his visit to Gadag had no special significance and that he was taking care of all 224 constituencies as the Chief Minister of the state.
Speaking to the reporters, Bommai said, ” I challenge the Congress to show a single corruption case against me. They had covered up 60 cases against the Congress party leaders in the ACB, including former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s case. I have given all the cases to Lokayukta.”
Furthermore, he said, “Forget 5, let the party announce 50 guarantees but they have already lost people’s trust. Also, the investigation of the case of stone pelting on former DyCM Parameshwar is underway. EC is also looking into the matter. Those responsible will be punished.”
