Bengaluru: State BJP President B.S. Yeddyurappa said that he was not trying to disrupt the JD(S) – Congress led State Government.
BSY made contradictory statements saying that he is not trying to break the coalition government and later said that Congress leaders were in touch with him.
Yeddyurappa said, “I do not know why both Janata Dal (Secular) and Congress leaders are so worried? The Bharatiya Janata Party is not desperate to form a government here. Let them(coalition) focus on people’s welfare instead of making false accusations against us.”
He added that though many Congress leaders were in touch with him after the Belagavi PLD Bank fiasco, the Bharatiya Janata Party’s main agenda is to win more seats in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
“We are in the process of strengthening our units at various levels. Many Congress leaders are in touch with me. Especially after the Belagavi fiasco, the number of leaders approaching me has gone up,” he said but refused to divulge details.
