Facing flak, Karnataka Congress MLA Pradeep Eshwar has exited the Big Boss television reality show, stating that his intention was to motivate the contestants. He clarified that his participation was limited to three hours, and emphasized that he was invited by the show’s organizers with the aim of benefiting the state’s youth.
Eshwar acknowledged the criticism, acknowledging it as a matter of differing opinions.
According to IANS, a complaint has been lodged with U.T Khader, Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, against MLA Pradeep Eshwar for his involvement in the Kannada version of the Big Boss reality show. The Vande Mataram Social Service Organisation submitted the complaint, urging for the MLA’s dismissal.
The complaint contends that Pradeep Eshwar, representing the Chikkaballapur constituency, is receiving a salary from the state government and is obligated to address the concerns of his constituents. It criticizes his participation in an entertainment reality program as a neglect of his responsibilities. The complaint calls for his removal from office, along with the withholding of his salary and allowances.
Pradeep Eshwar, known for his motivational speaking and operation of a training academy, secured an unexpected victory for the Congress party by defeating former BJP minister K. Sudhakar.
