Congress MLA Tanveer Sait assault case: One more accused held

Mysuru: Mysuru police have arrested yet another person in connection with the murderous assault on former Minister and Congress MLA Tanveer Sait.

Mateen Baig, 45, was arrested from Ghousia Nagar. A total of 8 persons have been arrested so far in the case.

The assault had taken place on Sait on November 17 this year while he was watching an orchestra at a wedding dinner in Bannimantap in Mysuru. His attacker Farhan Pasha, also a resident of Ghousia Nagar, was apprehended by the wedding guests and handed over to the police.

A special team of police personnel formed to solve the case had arrested six persons, including two from Kerala on basis of information given by arrested Pasha.
