Belagavi: The 50-feet-tall statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was unveiled yet again at Rajahamsagada fort in Belagavi rural constituency on Sunday.

MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar had organised a grand ceremony for the unveiling of the statue which was attended by several people including Shambhuraje Bhosale, a descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Congress MLA from Latur Dheeraj Deshmukh, Kolhapur MLA Satej Patil alias Bunty.

The unveiling of the statue took place after a palanquin procession and flag hoisting. Sounds of dhols and tasha reverberated through the event.
