Bengaluru: The ruling Congress party is geared up to take on the opposition BJP and JD(S) in the upcoming election after successfully completing it’s janaarshirvada yatra in the state.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi has visited Hyderabad Karnataka, Mumbai Karnataka, Coastal/Malnad and Mysore locales as a major aspect of gathering’s pre-election crusade (Janaasheervaada Yatre). He is booked to visit the central Karnataka areas, covering Bengaluru revenue division in the first week of April, as a major aspect of fifth leg of the Yatre.

The AICC Election Committee is required to report the first list of candidates by April 15. Notification for elections is booked to be out on April 17. The last date of documenting designation papers by the candidates is April 24.

AICC general secretary incharge of Karnataka K C Venugopal and four other divisional secretaries had been camping in the state since September 2017. The party has out of the blue framed ward-level boards to go up against the BJP at the ground level.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been in the election mood from past six months. From raking up seperate religion tag for Lingayat to Kannada pride, he has taken setting the phase for the last fight.

Winning the upcoming election surveys is essential for the Congress. Karnataka is one of the state where the party is in control in the nation. Also, it is relied upon to set the phase for the fight in the 2019 parliamentary elections. Triumph in Karnataka will give the party the much-require lift to go up against strong BJP in 2019.
