Belagavi: A woman Congress party worker and follower of Forest Minister Satish Jarkiholi celebrated her birthday in a quirky style on Saturday, and her photos are now gone viral on various social media platforms.

Amira Desai from Islampur, Hukkeri taluk took pride of the Birthday celebration and asked her followers to click photos of her brandishing the sword and circulate them online. However, Amira faced severe criticism after her photo went viral, informed sources.

As per the sources, Amira is actively involved in Congress party activities and often creates needless problems for innocent people riding on the support of political leaders.

The Yamakanmardi police have registered a case against her under the IPC section 25A/1 Arms Act.

It may be recalled that Belagavi North MLA Anil Benake was arrested recently after cutting his birthday cake with a sword.
