Police have registered an abetment-to-suicide case against three persons after a head constable attached to the Armed Reserve Police Force committed suicide when he was on night duty at Adi Udupi High School.

The constable, Rajesh Kunder was assigned night duty outside the SSLC exam paper storeroom. His lifeless body was found by the police personnel during the shift change in the morning (April 29).

Initially it was suspected that Rajesh had committed suicide out of depression but in a death note, that has been found now, the deceased named four persons for abetting his suicide.

The death note was found by Ganesh and he handed it to his superiors.

In this backdrop a case has been registered against DAR ACP Umesh, Ashfaque and Gangolli station PSI Nanja Naik and another person under Section 306 of the IPC.

The police have sent the death note to a graphologist for analysis of the handwriting on it.
