Mangaluru: Scores of Youth Congress workers on Tuesday clashed with police while staging a demonstration against Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai outside a private hotel in Mangaluru.
The protest was led by Congress leader Mithun Rai over contractor Santosh Patil’s suicide, who had accused a Karnataka minister of demanding 40 percent commission in public work.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was in a meeting at a private hotel in the city. Protestors gathered at the spot and raised slogans against the BJP government. They also tried to enter the premises but were arrested by cops .
