Cop Revana Siddappa awarded for his humanity

Mangaluru: Revana Siddappa, traffic police, whose video of repairing a dangerously protruding metal strip on the concrete road near Bunts Hostel which went viral over social media, was awarded Rs 5000.

After numerous requests by the public to the corporation to rectify the same was ignored multiple times,  Siddappa  took this matter into his own hands and calmly repaired the strip, averting cause for accidents to occur.

Siddappa, received huge accolades on his service after an onlooker posted the video of the cop repairing the road.

City Police Commissioner TR Suresh on Friday awarded traffic cop Revanna Siddappa, with Rs 5000 cash reward for having taking an initiative to repair the road.
