Bengaluru: The Cubbon Park police has served a notice to Sandalwood actor Arjun Sarja to personally appear in front of the police on Monday, November 5 for inquiry with regard to MeToo case against him.

Actor Sruthi Hariharan had accused Sarja of misbehaving with her during the making of the film Vishmaya and had filed a complaint against him at the Cubbon Park Police station on Saturday, October 27.

Following this the police had registered an FIR and had booked Arjun Sarja under Sections 354 (assault or use of criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354 (A) (sexual harassment), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (gesture insulting modesty of woman).

Meanwhile, the Karnataka High court, in its interim order passed on Friday, directed the police not to arrest Sarja until the next hearing. It, however, permitted them to conduct the investigations in the case.
