Coronavirus: K’taka to stamp hand of people under home quarantine

Bengaluru: After a 35-year-old man tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, March 18 taking the total cases in Karnataka to 14 the state department has decided to stamp some people under home quarantine as they are not following the procedures properly.
Speaking with this regard State Health Commissioner Pankaj Kumar Pandey informed that some people under home quarantine are not following the procedures properly. “Health department will stamp such people,” he said.
“It has been decided to stamp the back of the palm of the left hand of such passengers with a specially designed stamp which will indicate the last day of the quarantine,” Pandey said in a statement.
The rectangular stamp will read: Proud to protect Karnataka, home quarantined till. With another stamp indicating the date in dd/mm/yy format.
